Hi all,

I will be the first to introduce myself, My name is Amanda and I am the creator of this community. I live within the crowds of Brisbane residents and am currently studying teaching at the University of Southern Queensland. I have been writing since I was 13, I haven't actually published anything, because I have been constantly changing the storyline of my Shape shifter sequel. I began writing as a hobby with a group of friends, until it began to become something more than a hobby. I spend most of my free hours writing my novel when I am not working or studying at the moment.

I also love to read several different types of books including; Young Adult, Fantasy, Paranormal and Romance. However I am only comfortable writing young adult and paranormal novels

Hey all you young writers out there, my name is Shani and I am one of the admin staff here on QLD Young Writers Society. Like Amanda I am a writer but have also not yet published anything. I play around with different ideas and write on and off. At present I am working a shifter story in which some of them can control the different elements, it is jist something I have had in my mind for sometime.

I started writing at the age of 14 but have always been a constant reader. The books I mainly read are fiction containing werewolves witches and vampires. I read from time to time romance novels as something different.

I'm Ellen and I want to be a TV writer, but I write for all different forms. I am 22 and have completed a Bachelor of Journalism/Arts (majoring in Drama and English) as well as Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries (majoring in Creative Writing). At the moment I work two casual jobs and live with my Mum to support my writing dream. Always interested in getting to know other local writers and sharing ideas. Hello all,

My name's Tim and I am also an aspiring writer. After 15 months of travel, an engineering degree, and an assorted history of various bits and pieces, I got myself focused on a book with a burning obligation. Based upon my experience in the developing world, it is centered around the theme of survival, more specifically how a world with no safety net acts to influence a society. Currently I'm in the finishing stages, and I feel somewhat relieved to have unburdened myself of the work.

I suppose that's why I'm here now, to open up to people in the writing community and make some new friends within this new world I have connected myself into.

I'd love to connect with you fellow writers. Maybe we can exchange manuscripts and offer advice to one another? Perhaps we could organise to meet up some time?
